General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Who we are

These GTC apply to all orders you place via our online shop www.myfirstbookmall.de. Your contractual partner is:

2. How the contract is formed

2.1 The product presentations in the shop are not a legally binding offer, but a virtual catalogue.

2.2 When you click the “Buy now” button (“Zahlungspflichtig bestellen”, or a similarly clear label), you submit a binding purchase offer.

2.3 The contract is only formed once we accept your order by sending a confirmation email or by dispatching the goods.

3. Prices, shipping & payment

3.1 The prices valid at the time of the order apply. All prices include statutory VAT.

3.2 In addition to the price of the goods, shipping costs apply unless free shipping (from €50 within Germany) applies. You can find details on our “Shipping Conditions” page.

3.3 You can pay conveniently by Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, credit card, Amazon Pay or Shop Pay.

4. Delivery terms & retention of title

4.1 We deliver within Germany and to the countries listed in the shipping conditions.

4.2 The goods remain our property until full payment. Please handle the books with care while they are still legally ours.

5. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you have a statutory right of withdrawal. You can find all the details in our withdrawal policy.

6. Warranty & product safety

6.1 The statutory liability for defects applies (2-year warranty). Should a book arrive damaged, please contact us immediately.

6.2 Special safety note: Our “Quiet Books” and toys are tested in accordance with applicable EU requirements (incl. CE marking).

6.3 Please be sure to observe the age recommendations and safety instructions on the product. Toys for small children should always be used only under adult supervision to rule out any risk.

7. Vouchers & discount codes

7.1 You can redeem discount codes before completing the order. Subsequent crediting is unfortunately not possible.

7.2 Only one code can be redeemed per order. Cash payment of vouchers is excluded.

8. Liability

8.1 We are liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, as well as in cases of intent and gross negligence.

8.2 In the case of slight negligence, we are only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations). In this case, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract.

9. Final provisions

9.1 German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

9.2 Should any provision of these GTC be invalid, the rest of the contract remains unaffected. The statutory provisions apply in place of the invalid provision.

9.3 The contract language is German.
